Writer's Forum – Room For Another?

A couple of people have recently suggested that BubbleCow should set up a writer’s forum.

We have considered it in the past but have always resisted. There are already a couple of good forums online and we are not sure there is room for another.

However, assumptions are sometimes wrong, so I will leave it open to you…

The premise is to set up a writer’s forum focused on getting published. This would involve discussion about book proposals, preparing your work for submission, building a platform and editing your own work. All for free, of course.

So if you would like us to set up this kind of forum, please add your email to the form below. If we get enough interest we can have something up by next week.

Based on the level of solid, helpful advice offered on the site, a forum moderated by you both would soon be the go-to place for writers globally. It would take energy to get the word out initially, but it wouldn’t take long—especially if you sent out weekly newsletters letting members know what’s being discussed this week and ran a couple of competitions to lure people through the doors.

Nathan Bransford, a US agent who’s very active online, recently set up a new forum and it’s doing well. I’m sure you’d be able to build a high profile in no time. I’d be happy to get involved during the West Coast US time zone’s waking hours!
