It is your DUTY to write

Start writingYesterday I suggested that getting published is a real up hill struggle.

But today I want to encourage you to forget what I wrote and start writing.

Why?

Because writing is what makes us human. We need to create, we need to imagine and we need to try and spread our insights and thoughts on life.

Yeah, the publishing model is broken, and yeah, publishers are taking advantage of writers who are looking to get their thoughts into print.

But does this mean we should stop writing?

God NO!

For the first time in history the common man now has a voice. The internet has turned us all into publishers. All writers now have the tools to make themselves heard.

So my call is for writers to stop worrying about a broken publishing model and start writing. Just remember we are all interested in what you have to say!

I do need to write, I get no peace until I have, too many thoughts swirling in my brain.
I used to think I was mad, then I was told I’m just creative.
Probably a bit of both, it’s a very thin line between the 2.

You are not alone, many writers tell the same story – keep writing!

@ Elle, me too! But I love being a freelance writer – sometimes I wish I could get my thoughts down on paper as fast as they enter my mind, and oh if they could come already formatted that would be great too. But alas, if that were to happen, how could I drive myself insane with rewrites, edits, and revisions.
