Google Wave is great for writers

I have now been using Google Wave for a few weeks (garysmailes@googlewave.com) and I am ready to declare that it will have a big part to play in the future of a writer’s online platform.

This video will explain Google Wave:

In essence wave allows many people to collaborate and converse. It makes sharing easy. Keeping it brief I think that Wave will be like twitter, in that once people understand the platform they will find new and exciting ways to exploit its potential. Wave lends itself perfectly to group discussions and online ‘teaching’ exercises.

I have five wave invites sitting at my account. If you leave a ‘pick me’ comment, I will pick five lucky people on Monday and fire out the invites.

Good luck.

and the winners are…

Dmitri,

diane,

techtigger,

Selorian,

Mary.

After the initial excitement of the initial release to developers, it seems like the news on Wave has died down, but not interest on my part. I have a Google Wave Blog Carnival set-up, and I am desperately seeking submissions, but so far I only have a small number. Until it’s public release, I guess momentum will build slowly. As for myself, I can’t wait to work with it !

I specialize in technology training, and I provide simple step-by-step explanations of complex technology for ordinary folks who want to learn. I could certainly put a Google Wave invite to good use, and write about it, for those who haven’t yet been able to get any hands on experience. Thank you – I hope you will pick me.

Please pick me! Complete luddite, technically, so need something simple like this to up my abilities!

    Thank you very mooch, Gary!

This really shows the flatness of a moodern world, where literally everyone can have access to information and web-based data exchange services .)

    P.S.
By the way, how I should start using G.Wave? Or maybe I have missed something?

    Best regards,
    Dmitri

    • Gary Smailes

To start google wave firstly add a contact (garysmailes@googlewave.com), then start a new wave and drag over the contacts you want involved.

  • http://cliffordfryman.com Selorian
