I’m a struggling author, poor as the poor can be. Please give me a career boost so I can buy more coffee.
But if you deem my poem insipid and reject my bid, I’ll be forced to hang my head in shame and sell my Pesky Kid.

If you don’t enter, you won’t win. In my experience, if you do enter, you won’t win either. However, as I have now entered and failed to win 4958736283 web-based competitions, surely, statistically speaking, it must be my turn soon. So: please pick me.

I got up at 5am this morning to write before getting 3 kids and baby ready to go to school and now writing while baby naps. I got a break in the summer, a publication with nomination for New Irish Writing awards, so now I am scrambling up the cliff edge towards being a published novelist (one day..) The Writers and Artists Yearbook would be very timely help towards this aim! Ah the baby awakes…

I have a terrible cold caught off my son and deserve wine, chocolates, a head and shoulders massage, and lots of TLC. At the same time I’m trying to get organised for Open Studios and an group exhibition in one month’s time. I need all the sympathy I can get, but failing that a copy of the Handbook would be super brilliant, much appreciated and well used over the next year.

Oh! Pick me please Bubble Cow, because I once helped save a Cow that had fallen out of a field. It had no bubble like you to keep it buoyant or stable, so when it stretched for those hard to reach but ever so juicy greens at the edge of a high verge it fell hoof over horn into the road. Once it found its feet again, if not for our herding it would have stumbled out onto a dual-carriageway. So in case such a tragedy happens again a big RED book would be perfect for wafting such stray bovine back to their cud.
